Everything the lab needs, nothing it doesn't

TraceLab covers the complete sample workflow — from physical intake through analysis, QC, and structured publication.

Sample Lifecycle

End-to-end tracking from physical receipt through analysis, QC sign-off, and archival — every sample has a traceable history.

Barcode Intake

Structured intake forms with barcode assignment and bulk import support. Samples enter the system clean, labelled, and ready.

Results and QC

Manual, file-upload, and bulk result entry. Multi-stage QC review with revision history, flags, and sign-off workflows.

Datasets and Publication

Consolidate reviewed results into structured datasets. Export in CSV or PDF format, with full provenance tracing back to raw intake.

Inventory and SOPs

Reagent stock monitoring, low-stock alerts, and SOP document management — keeping protocols and consumables aligned.

Audit Trail and Traceability

Every state change is recorded with actor, timestamp, and context. Full traceability for compliance, review, and post-hoc investigation.

How it works

Intake to release — end to end

Four stages, one system. TraceLab keeps every sample moving with a clear chain of custody and no manual reconciliation.

01Intake

Structured sample receipt

Samples enter via barcode-tagged intake forms. Batch imports and individual intake both supported. Every sample is assigned a unique system ID on arrival.

02Analysis

Result entry and tracking

Analysts enter results manually, upload files, or import bulk batches. Each result is linked to a sample, analyst, and analysis type — no orphan records.

03QC

Multi-stage quality control

QC reviewers approve, flag, or reject results. Flagged results route to revision workflows. The QC pass rate is tracked and surfaced on the live dashboard.

04Release

Dataset consolidation and export

QC-approved results are consolidated into named datasets, signed off, and exported — fully traceable from raw intake record to published file.

Multi-lab and enterprise

Built for institutions, not just single labs

TraceLab scales from a single laboratory to a multi-site research institution, with per-lab isolation and institution-level oversight.

Access your workspace

Multi-lab workspaces

Each laboratory operates as an isolated workspace. Users, projects, and data are scoped to their lab — with optional cross-lab roles for institution-level staff.

Role-based access control

Roles from Lab Admin to Analyst are enforced at the API layer. Every permission is determined server-side — the UI shows only what the user is authorized to see.

Institution-ready deployment

TraceLab supports multiple labs under a single institution. Designed for research networks, survey programs, and multi-site analytical teams.

Audit and operational monitoring

All state-changing actions are logged with actor, timestamp, and context. Combined with the live display dashboard, operations are transparent and traceable.
